    Why study in Germany

The quality of higher education in Germany is among the best in the world. The long tradition of education in Germany is widely respected. Germany itself has become synonymous with high quality. The higher education system in Germany offers something for all students. Germany has approximately 450 universities accredited by the state and there are 17,500 programmes for degrees in the country. Almost every subject is catered by the universities at all academic levels. International students can study for their Bachelors’, Masters’ or even Doctorates. Although most universities focus on scientific studies, it is also possible to study art subjects at the top universities.

  1. Tuition Fee:

    Germany offers two types of education to international students. One is FREE EDUCATION which is mostly in Government or Public Universities. Applicants from throughout the world apply to these universities and hence the entry criteria is quite high. The second option for students in Germany is to study at Private Universities and colleges. These also offer world class and very quality education to international students. Tuition Fee at these universities and colleges range from Euros 8000 per year to Euros 12000 per year approximately. These institutions also offer very good scholarships to students depending on their profile

  2. Living Expenses:

    International Students willing to study in Germany should demonstrate sufficient funds to cover their travel costs and 12 months of living and tuition fees for themselves. International students are required to open a BLOCKED ACCOUNT and deposit Euros 10236 in the same in their home country. This amount is then given back to the students while they are in Germany (on a monthly basis). Also known as a Sperrkonto, the  German blocked  back account is designed to serve foreign students and job- seekers as proof of financial resources for staying in Germany. From 1 January 2020, the presumed annual requirement that must be paid into the blocked account when applying for a visa increased to 10,236 Euros. This increased amount applies to all visa applications submitted from 1 September 2019. The account may only permit the withdrawal of a certain amount per month (Euros 853 from 1 September 2019).
